Welcome to Mountain Oaks Manor, a beautiful wedding venue located just a few miles north of the city of Chattanooga, making us one of Chattanooga’s premier wedding and event venues. We can accommodate up to 150 guests with ceremonies in our historic chapel or outdoor gardens as well as the on-site reception area. We also offer multiple elegantly decorated private rooms and a spacious bridal suite. Step back in time…tradition and romance…intimate weddings are our specialty.

History

James County was organized in 1871 during the troubled reconstruction period following the Civil War. The courthouse, known as “Old Jim,” was completed in 1913. In 1919, the county was dissolved and became part of Hamilton County. James County came to be known as “the lost county.” In March 2000, two sisters and a brother purchased the courthouse and gave it a new direction–the Mountain Oaks Manor. It was sold to Tim and Sonya Guffey in 2017 and continues to grow.

Venue

Our venue offers full wedding services, and the banquet room–formerly the old courtroom–can seat up to 150 guests. Two reception rooms, bride and groom suites, and other private rooms throughout the building are decorated in Victorian style antiques from the past that add to the charm of an antebellum mansion. Mountain Oaks Manor is located just minutes from Chattanooga, Cleveland, Ringgold, and Dalton in the heart of Ooltewah.

While we do welcome outside wedding and event vendors of your choice, we do offer all inclusive wedding packages consisting of established professionals with years of proven experience. All are licensed, insured and enjoy great online reviews and ratings.
