If you want to dine in style and comfort, visit the Mountain Oaks Tea Rooms, located in the Mountain Oaks Manor. We're located just minutes from Chattanooga, Cleveland, Ringgold, and Dalton in the heart of Ooltewah.
Each tea room is decorated in Victorian-style antiques from the past that adds to the charm of our antebellum mansion. In addition to the delicious teas we serve, mouthwatering soups and salads are the heart of our menu. And don’t forget the dessert!
More About Our Tea Room
At the Mountain Oaks Tea Room, we serve lunch from Tuesday to Friday and on selected Saturdays. Drop by our tea room to have a relaxing experience in an elegant atmosphere. We take great pleasure in treating you to our amazing selection of food items.
We're open to hosting special events from bridal showers to luncheons, birthday parties, and more, but you would need to make a reservation in advance. We're happy to provide you with catering services for your convenience.
We're well-known for various popular events, such as the Princess Tea Party, Mother's Day Tea, Christmas Candlelight Tea, and more!

At Mountain Oaks Manor, we have a variety of fabulous tea rooms for our guests. You can reserve any of these rooms in advance for your events.
The Scarlett Room
As the name says, this beautiful tea room is inspired by Gone with the Wind's Scarlett O' Hara and is designed in a way that recreates memories of the time period in which the book was set. This room can seat up to 25.
Booking rates: $35 + catering
The Queen's Room
If you love the English high tea, this is the room you should visit. You can have a cup of tea in the presence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II's portrait, in this elegant and charming room. This room can seat up to 25.

The Garden View Room
If you're planning a large gathering with everyday tea served, this would be the room of your choice. You can enjoy the view of the gardens with family and friends while relaxing with a cup of tea. This room can seat up to 40.
Booking rates: $100 + catering
The French Quarter
If you want to treat yourself and your loved one to tea in a charming Old New Orleans setting, this is the place you should be. This room offers an intimate setting for smaller parties. This room can seat up to 12.
Booking rates: $20 + catering
The Banquet Room
This room is suitable for weddings and large tea parties. It is available for reservations and can seat up to 80.
Booking rates: $300 + catering
The Courtyard
In good weather, you can enjoy your tea in our spacious courtyard. This is included with the Garden View rental. This area seats up to 80.
Booking rates: $50 ($100 set for tea)

History
James County was organized in 1871 during the troubled reconstruction period following the Civil War. The courthouse, known as “Old Jim,” was completed in 1913. In 1919, the county was dissolved and became part of Hamilton County. James County came to be known as “the lost county.” In March 2000, two sisters and a brother purchased the courthouse and gave it a new direction–the Mountain Oaks Wedding Chapel. It was sold to Tim and Sonya Guffey in 2017 and continues to grow as a wedding venue and Tearoom.
